Fly global cargo routes on the 747-400F for Martinair Cargo under the KLM umbrella. You’ll join a safety-first, efficiency-driven operation with opportunities to contribute in ancillary roles (e.g., instructing or office projects).
Martinair operates KLM’s full-freighter flights under its own AOC from Amsterdam Schiphol, specializing in flowers, pharma, live animals, and special cargo. The current fleet comprises four Boeing 747-400F aircraft serving the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa; the fleet is slated to transition to the Airbus A350F from late 2027
1000 hours
• Minimum 1,000 hours on multi-engine aircraft >5,700 kg MTOW (not as cruise relief co-pilot) or military pilot experience • Minimum 100 PIC hours • ≥150 hours in commercial aviation in the 12 months prior to application, or military pilot experience
• EASA ATPL(A) or frozen ATPL • Multi-Engine IR (ME IR) • MCC certificate • PBN training • UPRT completed • Valid type rating on a multi-pilot aeroplane (MPA) • Radiotelephony (RT) license
Dutch at least B2 for non-native speakers
• EU passport • Height 1.58–2.03 m • No criminal record; • No travel restrictions • Secondary education: at least HAVO diploma or MBO+ (technical) including English and Mathematics, or equivalent foreign education • Upload all documents in PDF; license & medical valid ≥3 months at start; Dutch-issued license/medical or convert before hire (conversion costs borne by candidate)
