Job Description

Lauda Europe is recruiting A320-rated Type Rating Instructors and Examiners for a Dublin-based training role in partnership with Airline Flight Academy. The role includes classroom instruction, simulator training, type rating training, new-entry pilot training and ground school duties.

Minimum Total Flight Time

Other Minimum Flight Time

  • Minimum 2,000 hours on multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft above 30,000 kg MTOW with an established airline, cargo operator, private operator or military transport operation.
  • Minimum 800 PIC hours on multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft above 30,000 kg MTOW.
  • PIC hours on turboprop aircraft are not creditable toward the minimum PIC requirement.
  • Minimum 500 PIC hours on A320, A330 or A340.

Other License Requirements

  • Valid EASA Part-FCL licence required.
  • A320, A330 or A340 type rating must be listed on the EASA licence.
  • Valid EASA SFI, SFE, TRI or TRE certificate required.
  • Captain experience on the applicable Airbus type within the 36 months before joining a course required.

Additional Requirements

  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU required.
  • Previous instructional or checking experience as SFI, SFE, TRI or TRE highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and instructional skills required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of CRM, aircraft systems and SOPs required.
  • Ability to pass an enhanced background check required.
  • Ability to meet all applicable regulatory requirements required.
  • Online work-related behavioural assessment required before training.
  • Online assessment fee of €60 applies.
  • Psychological assessment, simulator assessment and interview may be required if shortlisted.
  • Interview or task with the Head of Training required for candidates progressing through selection.
