Lead and manage the airline’s cabin crew function across bases and regions. Oversee performance standards, safety and operational procedures, disciplinary processes with HR, and communication of updates to crews. Balance crew needs with operational demands, maintain morale, reduce work-related incidents, and build a strong leadership team for efficient cabin operations. Coordinate closely with Flight Operations, Health & Safety, Base and Duty Managers, Service on Board, and Communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or related field • Additional certifications in Aviation, Hospitality or Tourism Management considered an asset • Cabin Crew Training Certificate from relevant authorities (e.g., EASA, FAA) desirable • 8–10 years’ experience as cabin crew recommended • Prior experience as Chief Purser required • 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, ideally as Base Manager or Duty Manager • Experience managing large teams, ideally comparable to a 2,800+ crew population • Ability to set up and run performance evaluation systems for crew • Experience handling disciplinary processes with HR and ensuring compliance with country-specific labour laws • Familiarity with occupational safety and health monitoring and prevention • Experience with communication and document tools such as DocMan and Microsoft Teams • Leadership capability to inspire and guide crews under pressure • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills for coordination with crew, passengers and flight deck • Crisis management skills for effective decision-making in emergencies • Customer-service orientation with a focus on exceptional passenger experience • Spanish C1 • English C1 • Italian and French desirable • Formal Cabin Crew Licence and service as Chief Purser; if missing, Vueling can provide the course • Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and procedures and ability to keep them current across bases • Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and labour laws, especially in Spain, Italy and France • Familiarity with crew rostering and scheduling systems to balance leaves, absences and operational needs
