Requirements

Advanced written and spoken English and ability to read English for training completion • Two to three years of customer service experience • Strong problem solving and decision making in the interest of safety, crew and traveler needs • Comfortable working in confined spaces • Flexible to work a varied schedule across a 24 by 7 by 365 operation including reserve on call duties • Minimum age 19 • Valid passport. If not a Canadian passport holder, Canadian Permanent Resident card plus all required visas to perform duties wherever WestJet operates • Able to travel internationally without restrictions • Able to reach 204 cm without shoes and raise on the balls of the feet • Able to lift 50 lb from floor to waist and 22 lb overhead • Able to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card which requires a five year traceable history, a clear criminal record and Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident status • Willing and able to be away from home for multiple nights and to travel for extended periods • Must successfully complete initial training with no absence permitted • Must pass a WestJet post offer employment test and a pre employment alcohol and drug screening under company policy • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform and grooming standards • Second language is an asset. English plus one or more of French, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Hindi, Punjabi or Tagalog is preferred • Punctual, reliable and committed to on time performance and exceptional guest service
