Job description

Cargolux is recruiting First Officers for Boeing 747-8F and Boeing 747-400F cargo operations based in Luxembourg. The role includes supporting the Captain during all phases of flight, safe and efficient long-haul cargo operations, and maintaining high professional and operational standards across a global network. Candidates may be assigned as Junior First Officer, First Officer, or Senior First Officer depending on previous experience.

Other Minimum Flight Time

  • Minimum 1,500 hours multi-pilot multi-engine experience
  • Experience must be on jet aircraft or turboprop aircraft with MTOW above 10 tonnes, or seating capacity above 19 seats
  • Candidates with 1,500 hours on widebody aircraft may be considered for Senior First Officer level

Other License Requirements:

  • Valid EASA Part-FCL ATPL(A) or CPL(A)/IR with ATPL theory credit (Frozen ATPL)
  • Willingness to transfer licence to a Luxembourg-issued EASA licence

Other Language Requirements:

  • ICAO Level 6 preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Above-average flying skills
  • Strong safety standards
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Completed secondary education (e.g. Abitur, A-Level, Matura or equivalent)
  • Legal right to live and work in Luxembourg
  • Ability to pass security background check
