Job description

Train for the Aerodrome and Approach Control Diploma with the Civil Aviation Training Centre. The program builds ICAO-aligned knowledge and skills through classroom modules, simulator practicums, and preparation for on-the-job training in tower and approach units. Curriculum topics include aerodrome and approach control, communications, AIS, navigation, meteorology, coordination, flight planning and separation. Selection includes document screening and an aptitude test.

Airline description

TTCAA is the national civil aviation authority that regulates and administers a safe civil aviation system in line with national law and ICAO obligations. The Authority oversees licensing and standards and supports air navigation services within the Piarco FIR. Training is delivered by its in-house Civil Aviation Training Centre, which serves local and regional trainees. 

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 
  • Five GCE, CXC or CSEC passes including English Language and Mathematics. Preference for CAPE, A-Levels or higher qualifications 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with clear, fluent speech. Proficient in English. Computer literate 
  • Submit required documents: summary of academic and professional qualifications, copies of certificates and licences, two forms of national ID, and birth certificate. Originals are checked if selected 
  • Sit the program aptitude test if eligible
