Train with Fintraffic Avia College to become an air traffic controller serving Finland’s towers, approaches, and en-route sectors. You’ll progress from theory and simulator modules at Avia College (next to Helsinki Airport) to unit training that prepares you for real-world operations across the country’s network. Selection includes a multi-stage aptitude process (FEAST phases, personality testing, interviews) and an aviation medical in line with EU rules. If you’re focused, calm under pressure, and team-oriented, this pathway develops the skills to manage traffic safely and efficiently in Finnish airspace.
Fintraffic ANS is Finland’s state air navigation service provider, managing national airspace and delivering en-route, approach and tower services at 22 airports. Operations are supported by modern ATM systems and in-house training through Avia College located by Helsinki Airport. As part of the Fintraffic group, the organisation focuses on safe, efficient and increasingly digitalised traffic management across the aviation domain.
