Train with Croatia Control’s certified ATCO Training Organization to progress from classroom and simulator phases (Basic Training, then Rating Training) to supervised unit training at operational ATS units across the network. Candidates who already hold a related university degree may be credited for Basic Training; otherwise, Basic lasts ~14 weeks followed by 12–20 weeks of Rating Training, leading to a student ATCO licence before moving into unit training. Expect intensive simulation, continuous assessments, and a team-based operational model that prepares you for tower, approach or area control; full unit training typically brings the total path to around 2–3 years.
CCL is Croatia’s state air navigation service provider responsible for en-route, approach and tower services in the Zagreb FIR. It operates modern ATM systems and supports national ATS units across multiple locations. The organisation is certified under the EU Single European Sky framework and runs an in-house ATCO Training Organization under Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340. Training facilities include a multi-position, high-fidelity simulator used for both initial and continuation training.
