Job Description

Train as an Air Traffic Controller with ANS CR and move from classroom and simulator modules at the Czech Air Navigation Institute (CANI) into supervised on-the-job training at operational units. The full path takes at least 24 months (about 12 months of initial training, then local/unit training on rostered shifts), preparing you for tower/approach or en-route roles at the national IATCC in Jeneč and other ATS units. Selection is competitive and multi-stage (English proficiency check, FEAST, medical fitness, assessment centre). Employment starts at the beginning of training.

Airline Description

ANS CR is the state air navigation service provider under the Czech Ministry of Transport, delivering en-route, approach and tower services in Czech airspace from the Integrated ATC Centre near Prague. It also provides aeronautical information management (AIM), communications/navigation/surveillance (CNS) services, and search-and-rescue alerting in line with ICAO/EU standards. Training is supported in-house through CANI, with modern simulators and curricula aligned to European ATM practice.

Requirements

Completed upper-secondary education with “maturita” (or equivalent)
Czech language: Czech maturita in Czech language, or a certified B1 CEFR Czech exam for non-natives (per accepted institutions)
English language: at least B2 CEFR; separate English knowledge verification applies
Medical fitness in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/340
Clean criminal record (documents not older than 3 months; equivalents required for non-Czech citizens)
Prior FEAST results may be accepted if they meet ANS CR’s thresholds for this campaign (per EUROCONTROL methodology)
