Train to become an air traffic controller with LFV. You’ll move from classroom and simulator modules into unit training that prepares you for tower, approach, and en-route operations across Swedish airspace. Selection includes Eurocontrol’s FEAST aptitude testing, followed by further assessments and a medical examination in line with EU rules. Initial training is delivered in cooperation with the Scandinavian academy Entry Point North before you progress to supervised on-the-job training at LFV units.
LFV is Sweden’s state air navigation service provider for both civil and military aviation. It provides air traffic control at 16 airports/air force wings and from four control centres (ATCC Stockholm, ATCC Malmö, RTC Stockholm, Östgöta Kontrollcentral). The organisation invests in research, innovation and remote/digital tower concepts to improve capacity, availability and sustainability. Training is coordinated with Entry Point North, the joint Scandinavian ATC academy.
